Food & Beverage Intern

About the role

The Food & Beverage Intern will join the dynamic team at Best Western Plus Kathmandu Hotel, supporting restaurant, bar and banquet operations. This full‑time, on‑site position offers hands‑on experience in a reputable international hotel brand, allowing you to develop practical hospitality skills while delivering excellent guest service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in setting up dining areas, tables, and buffet stations.
• Take and deliver guest orders for the restaurant, bar and events.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation under supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness, presentation standards and adherence to hygiene and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with service and kitchen teams to ensure smooth, courteous service during regular shifts and special events.

Required profile

• Strong interest and basic understanding of food service and beverage operations.
• Customer‑service orientation with a professional demeanor.
• Clear, courteous communication skills for interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to follow hygiene, safety and quality standards in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Enrollment in or completion of a hospitality, tourism or culinary program is an advantage.
• Basic English language skills; additional languages are a plus.
