Business Development Manager – Gardening Services

About the role

GardenSewa is a fast‑growing hyperlocal gardening service platform in the Kathmandu Valley. The Business Development Manager will be the primary growth driver, expanding the customer base, leading field operations, and forging strategic partnerships across the gardening ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inbound phone and digital enquiries, conduct site visits, assess gardening needs and close service agreements.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with residential and commercial clients to ensure retention and repeat business.
• Recruit, onboard, schedule and supervise a team of skilled gardeners, coordinating daily field operations for timely, high‑quality service delivery.
• Onboard nurseries and independent gardeners onto the GardenSewa platform.
• Identify and negotiate partnerships with equipment sellers, tool manufacturers, nurseries, plant suppliers and landscaping material vendors.
• Develop and execute local marketing and outreach strategies, identify new service opportunities and report market insights to leadership.
• Represent GardenSewa at community events, housing societies and business networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agriculture or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development, field sales or operations management.
• Proven ability to manage a field team and handle client‑facing responsibilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills in Nepali and basic English.
• Familiarity with the Kathmandu Valley’s localities, communities and commercial landscape.
• Valid two‑wheeler licence and willingness to travel extensively across Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
