Cashier

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to manage billing and customer interactions in our café. The role involves operating the POS system, handling cash and electronic payments, and supporting front‑of‑house operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the POS/billing system to prepare bills, process cash, card and mobile wallet payments, issue receipts and refunds, and maintain a balanced cash drawer with daily reconciliations.
• Greet customers, answer questions about menu items, promotions and payment options, handle complaints calmly and refer issues to the manager when needed.
• Keep the cashier counter and front area clean and stocked, coordinate with kitchen and service staff on orders and special requests, and assist with restocking front‑of‑house items.

Required profile

• Minimum +2 education (or equivalent); bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience as a cashier in a café, restaurant or retail environment.
• Familiarity with POS/billing software and basic computer skills.

Required skills

• Strong numerical accuracy in cash handling.
• Good communication in Nepali and English with a customer‑friendly attitude.
• Integrity, reliability and ability to work under pressure during peak hours.
• Team player with basic problem‑solving abilities.
