Category Head – E-Commerce

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Category Head – E-Commerce to lead the development and execution of category strategy, growth and profitability. The role combines strategic thinking, data‑driven decision making and strong vendor partnership management to drive sustainable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category growth strategies.
• Manage supplier, vendor, and brand partnerships.
• Negotiate pricing, margins, rebates, and promotional terms.
• Oversee product assortment, pricing, promotions, and category profitability.
• Monitor market trends, customer demand, and competitor activities.
• Coordinate inventory planning, forecasting, and stock availability.
• Track category KPIs, revenue, margins, and promotional performance.
• Lead and manage the category team.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5–8+ years of experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising, Brand Management or Commercial functions.
• Experience in e‑commerce, retail, FMCG, beauty, fashion, electronics, healthcare or lifestyle sectors.
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, analytical and commercial skills.
• Proven ability to manage pricing, inventory, margins and category performance, with strong leadership and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
