Commi I Cook – Boutique Heritage Hotel

About the role

Hotel Goodwill, a boutique heritage hotel in Lalitpur, Nepal, is seeking a Commi I Cook to join its kitchen team. This full‑time, on‑site position involves preparing à la carte dishes and banquet buffet items while supporting the hotel’s restaurant, events and conference services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items for à la carte service and banquet buffets following hotel recipes and quality standards.
• Perform mise en place, maintain assigned kitchen sections, and ensure consistent food presentation.
• Support timely service during restaurant operations, special events, conferences and other functions.
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a Commi Cook in a hotel or restaurant environment.
• Flexibility to work morning, evening, split shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Good time‑management, teamwork and communication abilities.
• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery or Hospitality (preferred).

Required skills

• Operation of commercial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Food preparation, cooking techniques and portion control.
