Communications Officer

About the role

World Vision Nepal is looking for a Communications Officer to execute digital media strategies that raise the organization's brand awareness and public engagement. The role covers child wellbeing advocacy campaigns, brand compliance, content creation from field activities, communication asset management and emergency communications support.

Key responsibilities

• Run digital media plans, manage social media and website content, and check posts against WVI branding guidelines
• Track engagement metrics and prepare monthly social media performance summaries
• Coordinate field visits to collect beneficiary stories, photos and videos, and translate them into English or Nepali
• Produce advocacy materials such as posters, flyers, graphics and factsheets, and draft internal newsletters and briefing notes
• Maintain a centralized digital asset library, track asset requests and use, and archive outdated material
• Support new staff orientation and build the writing, photography and videography capacity of non-communications staff
• Help draft emergency messages and coordinate with field teams during crises

Required profile

• 1-2 years of experience in communications/media, development or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism or an equivalent field
• Strong English and Nepali, with translation skills
• Regular field visits across Nepal (30-40% travel) and ability to work in rural, remote locations
