Sponsorship Communication and Engagement Officer

About the role

World Vision Nepal is looking for a Sponsorship Communication and Engagement Officer to manage the Sponsorship Systems desktop, the Horizon mobile application, data management and child media content, and to support incoming and outgoing correspondence for all support offices and Area Programmes. The role keeps communication with sponsors and children timely and high quality, provides technical support to Area Programmes on data gaps, and involves frequent district and community visits for monitoring and capacity building. It is an office-based position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sponsorship communication features, child media content and data quality reviews, keeping media timely, secure and aligned with global standards
• Monitor and close queries and feedback loops from Area Programmes, and support digitalisation of community media uploads
• Coordinate with MEAL to fix data gaps and ensure the Child's Data Quality review follows organisational standards
• Review correspondence input and translation quality, process digital and paper correspondence on time, and upload scanned documents into Horizon
• Protect the confidentiality of sponsor and child addresses
• Train Field Offices, Area Programmes and Partner NGO field mobilisers on correspondence standards, media content quality and child engagement tools
• Manage internal and external relationships and coordinate with IT, Operations Communications, SCM, GPO and couriers

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in similar or equivalent positions in the development sector; World Vision sponsorship experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in social science, rural development, development studies, sociology, international relations or a relevant field
• Experience preparing and facilitating training and workshops
• 30% of working time spent in the field

Required skills

• Strong written and oral English and Nepali, including presentation, reporting and translation
• Good computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Basic storytelling, child engagement and facilitation skills, good photography and videography
• Preferred: web-based database skills, networking and influencing, and strong negotiation and organisational skills
