Customer Service Officer – Consumer Banking

About the role

The Customer Service Officer will join the Consumer Banking Group of DBS, supporting customers across a full range of banking products. The role focuses on processing transactions, handling account enquiries and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, transfer and clearing transactions within authorized limits.
• Receive and process cheques, demand drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other banking instruments.
• Handle new account opening requests and transaction updates, either jointly with an officer or independently under specific authorisation.
• Respond to customer enquiries regarding balances, transaction details, statements and fees.
• Address customer queries and grievances within defined timelines and escalate when necessary.
• Ensure all activities comply with applicable regulations and DBS bank policies.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of banking experience, preferably in consumer banking.
• Graduate degree, preferably in Banking or Commerce.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build strong client relationships and meet deadlines.
• Good knowledge of internal and external banking regulations.
• Proficient computer literacy.
