Education Counselor – Finland

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Education Counselor to guide Nepali students who wish to study in Finland. The role involves advising on university selection, application procedures, visa processing and pre‑departure preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide up‑to‑date counseling to students and parents on Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Finland.
• Assist candidates in choosing suitable courses and universities based on academic background, career goals and budget.
• Guide applicants through entrance exams, portfolio or essay submissions and joint‑application deadlines.
• Verify academic transcripts, language certificates (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE), motivation letters and financial documents for compliance with Finnish standards.
• Support students in completing the Finnish residence‑permit application, including document checklists, proof of funds and interview preparation.
• Maintain lead records, follow up enquiries and convert prospects into enrollments.
• Liaise with university representatives and international offices to stay informed on admission policies.
• Conduct pre‑departure orientations covering accommodation, living costs, student life and post‑study work regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, Humanities or related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience as an Education Counselor focusing on European destinations, especially Finland.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.
• Strong knowledge of the Finnish higher‑education system, intake cycles, scholarship options and residence‑permit regulations.
• Professional attitude with strong empathy and active‑listening abilities.
