Electrical Engineer – Hydropower Operations & Design

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our hydropower team. You will play a key part in ensuring reliable plant operation, performing maintenance, and designing electromechanical components and transmission lines for projects exceeding 50 MW.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support electrical operations and maintenance of hydropower plants.
• Monitor electrical systems and equipment to guarantee efficient, reliable performance.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Design and review electromechanical components and transmission lines for new and existing projects.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and design documents.
• Utilise SCADA systems for monitoring and control.
• Identify electrical issues and deliver effective engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with project and engineering teams to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure compliance with technical, safety, and project requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within power generation or similar sectors.
• Proven experience in plant operations, maintenance, and design of electromechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of SCADA management and electrical safety standards.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings and specifications.
