Mechanical Fitter

About the role

InfraPro Construction is seeking a qualified, young, dedicated, and competent Mechanical Fitter to support hydropower plant mechanical installation, operation, and maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform mechanical installation, assembly, dismantling, alignment, maintenance, and repair of hydropower plant equipment.
• Support turbine and generator assembly, dismantling, inspection, alignment, and maintenance.
• Install, align, inspect, and maintain shafts, couplings, bearings, seals, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain turbine auxiliary systems such as lubrication, cooling, drainage, compressed air, and hydraulic systems.
• Assist with shutdown, preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, identify causes, and support timely troubleshooting.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, equipment manuals, and technical instructions.
• Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications and quality requirements.

Required skills

• Maintenance of turbine auxiliary systems (lubrication, cooling, drainage, compressed air, hydraulic).
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and assembly drawings, equipment manuals.
• Use of hand and power tools for mechanical maintenance tasks.
