Estimation & Costing Manager

About the role

The Manager – Estimation & Costing is a full‑time, on‑site position in Kathmandu, responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for pre‑engineered building projects and supporting competitive bidding.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for material, labour and equipment on pre‑engineered building projects.
• Analyze drawings and specifications and coordinate with engineering, procurement and project teams to ensure accurate pricing.
• Review vendor quotations, update cost databases, monitor budget variances and provide cost reports and forecasts to leadership.
• Improve estimation processes, support contract negotiations with data‑driven insights and ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field (master’s or professional certification is a plus).
• Mid to senior‑level experience in estimation and costing for infrastructure or building projects, preferably pre‑engineered buildings.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kathmandu, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Cost estimation, budgeting and financial analysis for construction projects.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications and engineering documents.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and estimation or ERP software.
• Knowledge of construction materials, local market rates and supply‑chain practices.
