Finance Controller

About the role

Emerald Group is seeking an experienced and results‑oriented Finance Controller to lead financial operations, reporting, controls, credit management and recovery activities in Kathmandu.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial planning, accounting, reporting and control functions.
• Manage budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial analysis.
• Prepare, review and present financial statements and management reports.
• Lead accounts receivable, credit control, collection and recovery to ensure timely realization of dues.
• Monitor receivables aging, follow up overdue payments and set collection targets.
• Coordinate payment follow‑ups, account reconciliation and settlement of outstanding balances.
• Oversee accounts payable, bank reconciliations and other core accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, tax authorities and other external stakeholders.
• Strengthen internal financial controls, risk‑management practices and procedures.
• Analyze financial data, provide insights and recommendations to management.
• Supervise and guide the finance and accounting team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance and accounting, with strong expertise in accounts receivable, credit control, collection and recovery.
• Proven ability to manage budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial analysis.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards, taxation and regulatory compliance.
• Experience coordinating with auditors, banks and tax authorities.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to provide actionable financial insights.
