Freight Forwarding Specialist

About the role

Ro Himalayan Logistics is seeking a detail‑oriented Freight Forwarding Specialist to manage end‑to‑end international shipments. The role involves coordinating air, sea and land freight, handling documentation, and ensuring timely, compliant delivery for clients in Nepal and abroad.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate international air, sea and land freight shipments from origin to destination.
• Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, customs brokers and clients.
• Prepare, verify and maintain commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, certificates of origin and other trade documents.
• Track shipments, provide status updates and resolve delays or operational issues.
• Manage customs clearance and ensure compliance with Nepal Customs and international trade regulations.
• Obtain freight quotations, negotiate rates with carriers and support preparation of customer quotations.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update logistics management systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, overseas partners and logistics service providers.
• Handle customer inquiries and shipment‑related issues professionally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, shipping or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, Incoterms®, freight documentation and customs clearance.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with logistics or ERP software.
