Full Stack Developer (Next.js & Django)

About the role

Hybrid, an award-winning global marketing agency specialising in higher education and part of EAB, is looking for a Full Stack Developer in Kathmandu. The role involves building scalable, high-performance web applications with Next.js, React, Python and Django, working in a hybrid setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance web applications using Next.js, React, Python and Django.
• Build and optimise responsive front-end interfaces, RESTful APIs and robust back-end services.
• Develop reusable components and implement SSR and SSG with Next.js.
• Design and maintain databases, API integrations and data pipelines.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver client and internal projects on time and at scale.
• Apply clean architecture, security, performance, testing and DevOps best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience, ideally in a senior or lead role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python and Django.
• Experience building responsive, high-performance web apps with modern front-end technologies.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and integration, preferably with Django REST Framework.
• Knowledge of database design, optimisation and management, especially PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with server-side rendering, API routes, authentication and state management in Next.js.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP or Azure), CI/CD pipelines and deployment.
• Bonus: data processing, automation or Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; English essential.
