Government Relations and Sales Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, relationship‑focused and target‑driven professional to develop business with government bodies. The role involves building strong relationships with local officials, identifying education‑related opportunities and converting them into successful programmes and partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify potential government bodies, locate decision‑makers and secure meetings through networks, referrals and field visits.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mayors, chairpersons, chief administrative officers, education officers and other key stakeholders.
• Analyse each government body’s education priorities, SEE performance, challenges, student needs and available budget before proposing solutions.
• Present suitable programmes, coordinate demonstrations and proposals, follow up consistently, negotiate and move opportunities toward approval and agreement.
• Maintain relationships after the sale, share progress and results, support coordination and identify opportunities to continue or expand the programme.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in government relations, public‑sector sales or related business development.
• Proven ability to develop and nurture relationships with senior government officials.
• Target‑driven mindset with a track record of converting opportunities into signed agreements.
