About the role

The Head of Department – Academics provides strategic and operational leadership for the academic function, ensuring high‑quality teaching, robust curriculum development, and continuous improvement of student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall academic function, aligning strategies with organisational objectives.
• Develop, implement and monitor academic policies, standards and procedures.
• Supervise and develop faculty teams, setting performance standards and KPIs.
• Oversee teaching quality, academic performance, student outcomes and regular performance reviews.
• Design, review and update academic programmes, curricula, course structures and learning materials.
• Analyse student feedback and performance data to drive improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate academic schedules, examinations, assessments and related activities.
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments on academic planning and operations.
• Prepare academic reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Education, Management or a related discipline (preferred).
• 7–10 years of experience in the education sector, with at least 3–5 years in a senior academic leadership role.
• Proven experience in academic administration, faculty management and curriculum development.
• Track record of improving academic quality and student outcomes.
