Health Officer

About the role

The Health Officer will lead the medical team at Manavsewa Ashram, ensuring high‑quality healthcare delivery to residents, rescued individuals, and children. This role combines strategic oversight, data‑driven reporting, and hands‑on medical support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to nurses, health assistants, CMAs, and other healthcare professionals.
• Design and maintain reporting systems for daily to annual health data, analyze trends, and present findings to supervisors and the board.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the medical department.
• Organize regular meetings (daily, weekly, monthly, semi‑annual, annual, and emergency) with health personnel.
• Recruit, train, evaluate, and schedule medical staff, addressing performance issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare ethics, regulations, and Ashram standards.
• Conduct audits to improve service quality and oversee budget management for the health department.
• Facilitate professional development, keep staff updated on best practices, and prepare medical proposals for resource acquisition.
• Provide counseling services to rescued individuals, children, and staff.
• Lead fundraising initiatives to sustain health programs and develop operational policies aligned with Ashram guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Assistant, or related field (e.g., BPH, BSc Nursing, BN).
• Experience in managing medical teams and healthcare operations.
• Strong analytical abilities for data reporting and KPI management.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, ethics, and budgeting processes.
