Hotel Painter – Guest Rooms & Public Areas

About the role

Join the Engineering team at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk as a Painter, responsible for maintaining the visual appeal of guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas. You will ensure every surface meets the hotel’s high standards of colour, texture and finish.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out painting, repainting, touch‑up and finishing work across all hotel areas.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, and applying primers.
• Apply paint, varnish, stains, coatings and other finishes using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Maintain consistent colour, coverage and quality in line with hotel standards.
• Respond to decoration requests from hotel departments and complete work within agreed timeframes.
• Coordinate with engineering and other departments to schedule work with minimal guest disruption.
• Protect furniture, fixtures and equipment during painting activities.
• Store and maintain tools, equipment and supplies, and monitor inventory levels.
• Dispose of paints, chemicals and waste according to safety and environmental procedures.
• Support basic engineering and maintenance tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Technical qualification or vocational training in painting, decoration or a related field.
• Experience in hotel or commercial painting preferred.
• Ability to follow safety, chemical handling and environmental regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Required skills

• Application of paint, varnish, stains and coatings.
• Use of brushes, rollers and spray equipment.
• Primer application.
• Chemical handling and safe disposal.
