HR Manager – Hydropower

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and result‑oriented HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function for a hydropower company. The role requires independent management of end‑to‑end HR operations across corporate offices and project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and procedures aligned with organisational objectives.
• Manage full recruitment cycle, manpower planning, onboarding and workforce deployment for both office and project locations.
• Maintain positive employee relations, address grievances and resolve HR issues.
• Implement performance appraisal systems, monitor performance and support employee development.
• Oversee payroll coordination, salary structures, benefits, leave management and statutory compliance.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations and internal policies.
• Identify training needs and organise learning and development initiatives.
• Coordinate site‑level HR matters such as attendance, discipline and manpower requirements.
• Maintain employee records, contracts and HR reports.
• Support organisational development activities including engagement, succession planning and retention strategies.
• Prepare HR reports, manpower budgets and other workforce‑related reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Proven HR management experience within the hydropower industry.
• Strong knowledge of HR functions, labour law compliance, payroll administration, recruitment and employee relations.
• Ability to independently manage the complete HR function and advise senior management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
