HR Officer – Healthcare Services

About the role

Doctors On‑call is seeking an experienced HR Officer to lead the human‑resources function for its door‑to‑door health services in Kathmandu. The role involves managing the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Nepalese labour law, and supporting a growing healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain HR policies, systems, and employee documentation.
• Handle end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding, manpower planning and workforce coordination.
• Oversee attendance, leave, shift scheduling, payroll coordination, compensation, benefits and employee records.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions, engagement initiatives and retention strategies.
• Conduct performance appraisals, probation reviews, promotions, training and development programs.
• Administer resignations, exits and final settlements.
• Ensure compliance with Nepalese labour regulations and produce required HR reports.
• Collaborate with senior management on workforce planning and organisational development.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on HR experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
• Strong knowledge of HR operations and Nepalese labour laws.
• Proven ability to manage recruitment and the complete employee lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
• High level of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality.
• Self‑motivated with the capacity to work independently and take ownership of the HR function.

Required skills

• Practical understanding of payroll, attendance, leave and HR administration.
