Internal Auditor – Full-time, On-site in Kathmandu

About the role

The Internal Auditor will join our Kathmandu office on a full‑time basis, conducting independent audits of financial records, operational processes and compliance activities across the group’s companies. The role focuses on risk‑based auditing, testing internal controls and providing actionable recommendations to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a risk‑based internal audit plan.
• Lead audit engagements from planning through final reporting.
• Test internal controls for design adequacy and operating effectiveness.
• Discuss findings and recommendations with relevant units and senior management.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Provide advisory services on process improvement and risk mitigation.
• Conduct special reviews and management‑requested assignments while maintaining confidentiality and independence.

Required profile

• Fresher Chartered Accountant (CA) with exposure to internal audit, or a semi‑qualified CA with 2‑3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation and related laws.
• Effective communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
