Japanese Language Instructor – Full‑Time, Kathmandu

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Japanese Language Instructor to join our training centre in Kathmandu. The successful candidate will deliver structured lessons to learners of all levels, prepare students for JLPT examinations, and foster an engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Japanese lessons for beginner to advanced students, covering reading, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, vocabulary and kanji.
• Prepare and conduct JLPT N5‑N1 exam preparation sessions, including mock tests and practice exercises.
• Develop lesson plans, study materials, assignments and assessments to monitor progress.
• Identify learning difficulties, provide targeted support, and give constructive feedback.
• Teach Japanese culture, etiquette and appropriate communication practices where relevant.
• Maintain attendance, performance records and communicate progress to students and management.
• Participate in training programmes, academic meetings and other institutional activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Japanese Language, Japanese Studies, Education, Linguistics or a related field (preferred).
• Mandatory JLPT N1 or N2 certification.
• Strong command of Japanese (written and spoken) and good proficiency in English and Nepali.
• 1–3 years of experience teaching Japanese, preferably with JLPT‑focused students.
• Passion for teaching, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
