Lead Accountant I

About the role

NOW CFO is seeking a Lead Accountant I to oversee core accounting functions for its Nepal office. The role combines technical accounting expertise with analytical abilities to ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast‑paced offshore environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping, journal entries, and maintain the general ledger.
• Execute bank reconciliations, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, and process payments.
• Build cash‑flow forecasts, assist with budgeting, and handle inventory accounting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual accruals.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems for accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare financial statements and generate management information system (MIS) reports.

Required profile

• Strong technical accounting expertise and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients, market representatives, and internal management.
• Experience in an offshore or remote accounting environment.
