About the role

The Excelsior School seeks a dedicated Math Teacher to join its academic team in Kathmandu. You will plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons that support students' intellectual, social, and emotional development while fostering a lifelong passion for learning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop quality lesson plans and activities aligned with national, local, and school curriculum standards.
• Stay updated on changes in the mathematics curriculum.
• Deliver engaging classroom discussions using proven teaching methodologies.
• Create practical assignments and provide additional learning resources.
• Explain mathematical concepts in simple, age‑appropriate ways.
• Provide extra academic support to slow learners and students needing assistance.
• Continuously assess and monitor student performance and give constructive feedback.
• Communicate regularly with parents about academic progress.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem‑solving, and independent learning.
• Keep accurate classroom records and documentation.
• Perform other academic and administrative duties as assigned.
