Mechanical Engineer – Sunwal

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to keep our cement and precast manufacturing plant running smoothly. You will be responsible for maintaining machinery, reducing downtime, and supporting safe, efficient production.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, monitor and maintain plant machinery, equipment and utilities.
• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to minimise breakdowns.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out timely repairs.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Prepare maintenance schedules, reports and equipment service records.
• Monitor spare‑parts inventory and recommend procurement when required.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and maintenance standards.
• Participate in machinery installation, commissioning and performance‑improvement projects.
• Analyse equipment performance and suggest improvements to boost efficiency and cut maintenance costs.
• Assist in root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in a cement, precast, manufacturing or industrial plant.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, compressors, pumps and gearboxes.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with maintenance software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle plant maintenance efficiently.
