About the role
We are seeking a motivated Mid-Level Accountant to join our Liquor Distribution division in Kathmandu. The role involves managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with sector‑specific regulations, and supporting financial reporting for the business.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain general ledgers, prepare journal entries, and oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, and track excise duties.
- Ensure tax and regulatory compliance specific to the liquor and FMCG sector.
- Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare management reports.
- Collaborate with external auditors and internal leadership to improve financial workflows.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent is a plus.
- 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the liquor or FMCG industry.
- Deep knowledge of tax regulations, excise duties and industry compliance.
Required skills
- Proficiency with accounting software.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Experience using ERP systems.
