Operation Manager – Retail Pharma Chain

About the role

The Operation Manager will lead the execution and ongoing performance of Maya Healthcare’s growing network of pharmacy stores across the Kathmandu Valley. This hands‑on leadership position is responsible for store openings, day‑to‑day operations, financial results, procurement, compliance and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end store expansion, including site validation, licensing, lease coordination, fit‑out and staffing.
• Monitor daily performance of all stores to ensure consistent service standards and operational playbooks.
• Take accountability for store‑level and network‑wide P&L, revenue, costs, profitability and EBITDA.
• Manage vendor and supplier relationships, procurement activities and pharmaceutical inventory, including cold‑chain products.
• Build recruitment, onboarding, training and retention strategies for pharmacists and store staff.
• Ensure compliance with the Drugs Act 2035, DDA requirements, prescription handling and storage standards.
• Maintain audit‑ready status and high quality of customer service across the network.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience managing multi‑site retail operations, preferably in the pharmacy or healthcare sector.
• Proven ability to drive financial performance and control operating costs.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance requirements.
• Leadership skills to develop and manage store teams across multiple locations.
