Operations Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Associate to manage daily activities at our Material Recovery Facility in Sallaghari and coordinate operations across our Teku and BMC sites. The role provides hands‑on exposure to waste‑handling processes, vehicle logistics and vendor interactions while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day operations at the Sallaghari site, allocate resources and set priorities for ground staff.
• Monitor and verify vehicle movements, mileage, maintenance records and related operational data across all sites.
• Visit informal and formal waste‑management companies and vendors to procure scrap material.
• Maintain health and safety standards, report incidents and support compliance with statutory requirements.
• Enter, track and analyse purchases, operational and financial data in the company IT system.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reports with recommendations for process improvement.
• Record and manage accounts data, inventory of sellable scrap and cash transactions, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Coordinate inward and outward waste flows between Sallaghari, Teku and BMC sites, maintaining clear communication with all teams.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience in operations, logistics or waste‑management environments.
• Ability to supervise staff, manage vehicle logistics and handle outdoor work conditions.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations and basic statutory compliance.
• Strong organisational skills for procurement, inventory control and cross‑site coordination.
• Basic data‑entry and reporting capabilities using an IT system.
