E-waste Operations Manager

About the role

Doko Recyclers is seeking an experienced leader to manage its e‑waste operations in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur. You will oversee day‑to‑day facility activities, ensure safe and compliant handling of electronic waste, and drive business growth through new partnerships and funding opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee collection, storage, assessment, repair, refurbishment or dismantling of e‑waste, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Manage the e‑waste facility’s inventory, reporting, and documentation, including revenue sheets and delivery notes.
• Lead, mentor and build capacity within the e‑waste team, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute strategies for sourcing e‑waste, securing corporate and institutional partnerships, and exploring new revenue verticals.
• Write proposals and grant applications, and manage funded projects to align with organizational goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or related field) and a mandatory MBA or equivalent business qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role within electrical/electronic hardware operations or e‑waste management.
• Strong knowledge of environmental compliance regulations and experience in client‑facing communication.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and client engagements.

Required skills

• Electrical and electronic assessment, repair, and refurbishment of IT assets (laptops, desktops, peripherals).
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and operational reporting tools.
• Advanced use of Excel or similar spreadsheet software for data analysis and reporting.
