Ortho Surgery Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Ortho Surgery Assistant to join our professional team at Nepamed Healthcare. The role involves supporting the surgical team during orthopedic and related procedures, ensuring that all instruments and implants are prepared, sterilized, and managed efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during orthopedic and other surgical procedures.
• Prepare and arrange operating‑room instruments, surgical sets, and required equipment before each procedure.
• Handle and maintain orthopedic implants and surgical instruments with care.
• Ensure all instruments and equipment are clean, sterilized, and ready for use.
• Assist with implant and instrument identification and preparation during surgery.
• Maintain accurate records of surgical instruments and implants.
• Coordinate with surgeons, OT staff, hospitals, and other relevant personnel.
• Follow all operating‑room safety, hygiene, and infection‑control protocols.
• Perform other surgery‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 12 months of experience as an orthopaedic surgery assistant.

Required skills

• Preparation of operating‑room instruments and surgical sets.
• Handling and maintenance of orthopedic implants.
• Sterilization of surgical equipment.
• Instrument identification during surgery.
• Accurate record‑keeping of surgical instruments and implants.
