Part-Time Video Editor Instructor

About the role

We are looking for a passionate part-time Video Editor Instructor to lead hands-on training at our institute in Kathmandu. The instructor will teach aspiring editors the fundamentals and advanced techniques of video post-production, helping them build professional portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical sessions covering editing basics, timeline management, storytelling, transitions, color grading, audio mixing and motion graphics.
• Demonstrate real-time workflows using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Adobe After Effects.
• Assign, mentor and evaluate student projects, providing actionable feedback.
• Update and adapt course materials to reflect current industry standards and social-media trends.
• Conduct Q&A and one-on-one troubleshooting during lab hours.
• Monitor attendance, track performance and prepare progress reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of professional experience as a video editor, content creator or post-production specialist with a strong portfolio.
• Prior experience teaching, coaching or mentoring students is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.

Required skills

• Adobe Premiere Pro (required)
• DaVinci Resolve or Adobe After Effects (highly desirable)
• CapCut or short-form editing workflows (bonus)

• Part-time schedule (7 AM‑9 AM or 3 PM‑5 PM, optional 7 AM‑10 AM).
