Program Coordinator – Nepal Eye Health Project

About the role

The Fred Hollows Foundation is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead the implementation and monitoring of its Nepal eye‑health project. Based in Kathmandu, the role will work closely with the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, partner hospitals and government stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day implementation of the FHF Nepal project, aligning activities with the country strategy and project goals.
• Develop and manage project workplans, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery of all tasks.
• Support the integration of eye health into Nepal’s primary health system in line with the national Eye Health Strategy.
• Serve as the primary liaison for the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology, regional partner hospitals, government agencies and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate a multi‑stakeholder steering committee, organising regular meetings and fostering collaboration.
• Organise and support training activities with the Tilganga Institute for relevant participants.
• Oversee project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation to ensure effective delivery.
• Manage project financial and operational matters, coordinating budgets and resources.
• Prepare high‑quality reports, including project updates, quarterly reports, field visit summaries and donor documentation.
