About the role
The Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major bridge construction projects, overseeing planning, execution, monitoring and delivery. This senior role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership to manage multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Lead overall planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of major bridge construction projects.
- Develop project execution strategies, construction methodologies and implementation plans.
- Provide technical and managerial leadership to multidisciplinary project teams.
- Review engineering designs, shop drawings, temporary works and construction methodologies.
- Manage claims, variations, extensions of time and dispute resolution.
- Monitor project budgets, cost control and value engineering initiatives.
- Act as the key representative for clients, consultants, government agencies and regulatory authorities.
- Lead project review meetings and progress presentations.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and develop engineers and project staff.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management.
- Registered Professional Engineer.
- PMP or equivalent certification.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in bridge construction.
- 10+ years as Project Manager, Contract Manager or equivalent.
- Experience on at least one 6 km+ highway/expressway project.
- Experience with a 23 m pier‑height bridge of 175 m length or comparable major bridge.
- Strong background in large‑scale highways, expressways, river crossings, flyovers, viaducts and EPC/Design‑Build projects.
- Knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions (highly desirable).
Required skills
- Large‑diameter bored piles / deep foundations.
- Pile load testing – PDA, PIT, CSL and static load tests.
- Pile caps, deep excavation and river foundation works.
- Tall pier construction, including 50 m+ piers.
- Segmental bridge construction.
- Girder launching and heavy erection works.
- Balanced cantilever construction.
- Heavy lifting using cranes, gantries, strand jacks and lifting systems.
- Prestressing, post‑tensioning, stressing and grouting.
- Bridge bearings, seismic devices and expansion joints.
- Temporary works, falsework, launching gantries and scaffolding.
- Bridge load/proof testing and commissioning.
- QA/QC, ITPs, method statements and material approval procedures.
- Bridge geometry control, survey monitoring and structural instrumentation.
