Technical Solutions Consultant - Architectural Systems

About the role

The Technical Solutions Consultant is DATUMA’s technical authority for window and door systems, railings, partitions, screens, skylights and façade solutions. Working closely with architects, interior designers, consulting engineers and contractors, you will provide the technical confidence needed to secure specifications and drive project success across the Kathmandu Valley and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Assess project requirements through site visits, drawings and client consultations.
• Recommend appropriate systems, configurations and specifications balancing performance, aesthetics, buildability and budget.
• Advise architects and designers on configuration, sightlines, proportion and detailing.
• Read, interpret and mark up architectural and structural drawings.
• Prepare technical submittals, mock‑up proposals and tender content.
• Secure specifications with architects, designers and engineers and carry opportunities through to award.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and knowledge sessions at the Experience Centre and client sites.
• Review and approve shop drawings, verify installations against specifications, and liaise with manufacturers on technical queries.
• Analyse market trends, competitor systems and recurring objections to inform product and specification strategy.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in building envelope systems (windows, doors, railings, partitions, screens, skylights, façades).
• Experience collaborating with architects, interior designers, consulting engineers and contractors.
• Willingness to travel across Nepal as project needs dictate.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Interpretation of architectural and structural drawings
