Project Officer

About the role

The Project Officer will support the implementation of HIV‑related activities in Jhapa district, working closely with the Health Office, local Palikas, ART sites and community health volunteers. Reporting to the Project Coordinator, the role ensures that program interventions are delivered on time, accurately documented and aligned with national 95‑95‑95 targets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement planned activities in coordination with health authorities, Palikas and ART sites.
• Support program mapping and organize HIV testing and BCC interventions at the ward level.
• Orient in‑reach workers and FCHVs on HIV program activities, including mobile camps.
• Prepare and submit accurate district reports using prescribed formats.
• Track reactive clients and index partners through confirmation, ART enrollment and linkage to care.
• Participate in district and Palika level monitoring visits, meetings, trainings and workshops.
• Review records, provide feedback to IRW and guide them on data quality.
• Maintain program quality using monitoring tools and techniques.
• Strengthen relationships with government officials and stakeholders to advance 95‑95‑95 targets.
• Monitor availability of program logistics and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
• Perform any other duties as requested by the Project Coordinator.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Science or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in health or community programs.
• Ability to work under supervision of the Project Coordinator and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
