Project Officer – Skills for Employability & Entrepreneurship (SEEP)

About the role

The Skills for Employability and Entrepreneurship Project (SEEP) seeks a motivated Project Officer to drive youth employment and entrepreneurship initiatives across rural and marginalized communities in Nepal. You will coordinate apprenticeship programmes, vocational training, and market linkage activities to enhance the employability of high‑school students and aspiring entrepreneurs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and monitor annual, quarterly and monthly work plans aligned with project objectives.
• Coordinate project activities with local governments, schools, TVET institutions and private sector partners.
• Facilitate apprenticeship placements, internship opportunities and mentorship programmes.
• Identify market‑driven vocational training opportunities and link beneficiaries to accredited providers such as CTEVT.
• Establish partnerships with companies, business associations and financial institutions to support employment, incubation and financing.
• Prepare implementation schedules, activity reports and ensure quality delivery of interventions.

Required profile

• Strong interest in addressing youth unemployment and socio‑economic disparities.
• Experience in project planning, implementation and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work with rural schools, local authorities and private sector entities.
• Willingness to travel to project districts in the Koshi and Bagmati regions.
