About the role
We are seeking a proactive, professional, and relationship‑driven Public Relations Officer (PRO) to strengthen InfraPro Construction’s engagement with local communities, government authorities, media and other key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of our hydropower projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a positive public image of the company.
- Build and maintain relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Organise community engagement programmes, public consultations and awareness campaigns related to hydropower projects.
- Prepare press releases, newsletters, speeches and other communication materials for public events.
- Handle public inquiries, complaints and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
- Support the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and communicate their impact.
- Monitor media coverage and public opinion regarding company activities.
- Assist in obtaining community support and maintaining good relations during project construction and operation.
- Coordinate with environmental and social teams to communicate project impacts and mitigation measures.
- Liaise with local authorities, regulatory bodies and community leaders.
- Maintain records of stakeholder meetings, grievances and communication activities.
- Prepare periodic reports on public relations activities and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure all communications comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Support crisis communication during emergencies or incidents affecting the project.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations or a related field.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with community and government stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience preparing press releases, newsletters and speeches.
- Ability to handle public inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Familiarity with CSR initiatives and media monitoring.
- Capability to support crisis communication and manage stakeholder expectations.
