Remote Accountant (Australian standards)

About the role

Opulent Accountants is seeking a qualified Accountant to work remotely from Nepal while supporting Australian clients. The role requires preparing financial statements and tax filings to Australian standards with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for Australian entities (companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders).
• Handle Australian tax return preparation, BAS/GST calculations and compliance.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, year‑end adjustments and journal entries.
• Prepare workpapers according to Australian public practice standards.
• Review bookkeeping, resolve ledger issues and liaise with the Australian team on client queries and deadlines.

Required profile

• Qualified CA, CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
• Proven experience with Australian accounting standards and tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet Australian lodgement deadlines.
• High efficiency under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
