About the role

The Secondary Math Teacher will deliver effective mathematics instruction to secondary students in accordance with the school curriculum. The role focuses on fostering logical reasoning, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills while maintaining an inclusive and positive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the secondary curriculum.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, activities, and assessments.
• Explain mathematical concepts through theoretical, practical, and problem‑solving approaches.
• Provide opportunities for students to practice concepts via classwork, assignments, projects, and problem‑solving activities.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well‑managed classroom environment.
• Assess and monitor student learning through assignments, projects, examinations, and regular assessments.
• Identify learning gaps and offer remedial guidance where required.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues about academic progress.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and other academic activities.
