Senior Account Officer

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Account Officer to join our finance team at National Path Labs and Research Center in Kathmandu. The role involves managing, analysing, and reporting financial transactions while ensuring compliance and supporting the growth of our health‑research operations.

Key responsibilities

• Update daily bank and day‑book entries, verify receipts from digital wallets, credit cards and other payment channels.
• Prepare daily, monthly and quarterly cash‑sales reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Verify branch dues, reconcile them with the accounting system and follow up on recoveries.
• Produce bank reconciliation statements and validate cash deposits against collections.
• Renew and update bank account information, including KYC, in coordination with the Legal Department.
• Support internal and external audits, including quarterly and annual reviews.
• Record invoices and other entries in the accounting software as required.
• Assist the Finance Manager and CFO with financial statement preparation and ad‑hoc tasks.
• Issue purchase orders, GRNs and maintain stock sheets in line with procurement procedures.
• Follow up with vendors on pending invoices, credit notes and related documents.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good understanding of legal compliance and KYC requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with branches, vendors and internal teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience in bank reconciliation.
