Senior Chemist

About the role

The Senior Chemist leads laboratory operations, product formulation, and quality testing to ensure products meet regulatory and customer requirements. This role drives product development, supports production with technical expertise, and continuously improves testing methods and manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, improve, and optimize product formulations based on business and customer needs.
• Conduct laboratory trials, pilot batches, and validation activities for new products.
• Perform chemical, physical, and performance testing on raw materials, in‑process materials, and finished goods.
• Review test reports, authorize product releases, and investigate non‑conforming items.
• Provide technical support to production teams, troubleshoot issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate and approve new raw materials and alternative suppliers through testing and compatibility studies.
• Prepare and maintain laboratory records, SOPs, COAs, and ensure compliance with ISO standards and safety regulations.
• Lead research on new technologies, raw materials, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
• Supervise laboratory personnel, train junior chemists, and manage inventory of chemicals and consumables.
