Senior Finance Officer

About the role

Hulas Steel Industries Limited is looking for a Senior Finance Officer to lead day‑to‑day financial operations and support month‑end and year‑end reporting in a manufacturing environment. The role ensures accurate costing, tight internal controls, and timely compliance to enable sound financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities, reconcile accounts and prepare financial schedules.
• Oversee management financial reporting, guaranteeing accuracy, completeness and adherence to internal policies.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to track manufacturing costs, value inventory and report cost variances.
• Review and verify vouchers, payments, receipts and supporting documents for proper authorization.
• Maintain ledgers and accounting records, ensuring timely and correct transaction posting.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory reporting requirements and related documentation.
• Support internal controls by monitoring expense approvals, payment workflows and accounting procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years progressive finance/accounting experience with month‑end closing and reporting exposure.
• Ability to manage stress, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a high‑volume manufacturing setting.
• Proven capability to maintain accuracy under pressure during audits, closures and reporting cycles.
• Experience with Nepal tax compliance (TDS/VAT) and statutory audit support.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel for ledgers, reconciliations and reporting.
• Voucher processing, bank reconciliation, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Tax compliance (TDS/VAT) and preparation of tax‑related records.
• Manufacturing cost accounting concepts such as BOM, WIP and overhead allocation.
