Senior Knowledge Broker – Asia Civic Space

About the role

Oxfam Nepal is seeking a Senior Knowledge Broker to lead the Asia Civic Space Knowledge Hub. The role will support the Country Director and the Asia Civic Space Working Group by managing knowledge, fostering learning, and coordinating regional collaborations on civic space and active citizenship.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate regular communication and engagement among members of the Asia Civic Space Working Group.
• Design and coordinate regional and global learning events such as webinars, workshops, peer exchanges, and reflection sessions.
• Promote peer‑to‑peer learning among Oxfam staff, partners, and civic‑space practitioners across the region.
• Lead the collection, synthesis and dissemination of evidence, trends and best practices on civic space across Asia.
• Produce analytical briefs, learning papers, case studies and other knowledge products to inform programme and influencing strategies.
• Support country teams in applying learning generated through the civic‑space agenda.
• Act as a liaison between Oxfam Nepal, the Asia CSWG, the Civic Space Knowledge Hub and external networks.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with partners, civil‑society organisations, academic institutions and thematic platforms.

Required profile

• Specialised knowledge and experience in civic space, including the ability to conduct in‑depth analysis and provide strategic advice.
• Proven experience in knowledge management, learning facilitation and network coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver regional learning events and peer‑exchange activities.
• Strong partnership and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with experience working with country teams and external networks.
• Excellent written communication skills for producing briefs, case studies and reports.
