Senior Logistics Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Logistics Officer to lead the planning and execution of our logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service operations. The role requires strategic thinking, strong coordination skills and the ability to optimise the full order cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
• Direct, optimise and coordinate the complete order cycle from order receipt to delivery.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers.
• Monitor quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency, updating shipment status regularly.
• Arrange warehouse layout, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments.
• Collaborate with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, quality personnel and other stakeholders on shipment information.
• Compile carrier and route assignments and supervise inventory accounting.
• Apply knowledge of import logistics, banking documentation, letters of credit (LC) and telegraphic transfers (TT).

Required profile

• Proven working experience as a senior logistics officer.
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard logistics software.
• Strong understanding of import logistics and related banking documentation.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
