Software Development Engineer - Python

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a Software Engineer who builds scalable data processing systems using Python, Java and SQL. The role focuses on designing and implementing high-performance data workflows for large-scale analytics in a cloud-based environment, working with engineers, product managers and DevOps teams to build, optimize and maintain data pipelines and processing frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using Python, Java and SQL
• Build data processing workflows with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hive and Amazon EMR
• Optimize data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency and reliability
• Develop and maintain data models supporting business analytics and reporting
• Ensure data quality, integrity and lineage across the data platform
• Integrate data pipelines with AWS services such as S3, Lambda and Step Functions
• Implement automated testing and monitoring for data workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and follow version control, CI/CD and Agile best practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
• 3-4 years of experience in software or data engineering
