Student Engagement and Support Officer

About the role

Australian College is seeking a proactive Student Engagement and Support Officer to keep government‑funded students connected, motivated and on track to complete their courses. Working remotely from Nepal, you will use phone, email, SMS and WhatsApp to build strong relationships with learners across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Contact existing students regularly via phone, email, SMS and WhatsApp.
• Encourage continued engagement with the college and their studies.
• Motivate learners who are falling behind or at risk of dropping out.
• Promote attendance at webinars, online support sessions and other scheduled activities.
• Identify academic support needs and connect students with appropriate trainers.
• Maintain accurate notes, update internal systems and track engagement metrics.
• Escalate any concerns to the relevant college team member.
• Assist with reporting on student engagement and webinar attendance.

Required profile

• Excellent spoken and written English, clear and easily understood.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Attention to detail and good record‑keeping habits.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office communication tools (email, messaging apps, phone).
