Tax and Audit Expert (Remote Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for a Tax & Audit Subject Matter Expert to work on an hourly, remote contractor basis. You will review AI‑generated tax and audit responses, create high‑quality accounting content, and provide detailed feedback to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI training content, including prompts and gold‑standard outputs for tax scenarios, audit programs, workpapers, and control assessments.
• Evaluate and rank AI responses for technical correctness, clarity, compliance, and practical usefulness.
• Test AI outputs for inaccuracies, unsafe guidance, bias, and validate reliability across business scenarios.
• Fact‑check technical claims, identify errors in tax treatment, audit methodology, risk assessment, internal controls, and financial reporting linkages.
• Write clear explanations, model solutions, and rate multiple responses based on correctness and reasoning quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in tax and/or audit (public accounting, advisory, internal audit, or industry).
• Strong command of tax fundamentals (corporate/individual, credits, nexus, VAT/GST, etc.).
• Strong command of audit fundamentals (planning, risk assessment, control testing, substantive procedures, sampling).
• Proven ability to produce clear, defensible workpapers and documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and minimum C1 English proficiency.
