Business Head – 3S (Sales, Service & Spares) – Heavy Equipment

About the role

The Business Head – 3S will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Sales, Service and Spares business of heavy equipment. Reporting to senior management, you will drive revenue growth, market expansion and after‑sales excellence across construction, infrastructure, mining and related sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the 3S business strategy, annual operating plan and growth roadmap aligned with corporate objectives.
• Lead the Sales function – business development, channel and key‑account management, forecasting and achievement of sales targets.
• Oversee Service and workshop operations to ensure high‑quality repairs, preventive maintenance, technical support and maximum equipment uptime.
• Manage the Spare Parts business, optimizing inventory, parts availability, sales growth and profitability.
• Coordinate Sales, Service and Spares throughout the equipment lifecycle and monitor KPIs such as sales achievement, gross margin, service revenue, workshop utilisation, parts fill rate and customer satisfaction.
• Handle warranty claims, AMC/service contracts, technical support and OEM coordination.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and pricing to maintain competitive advantage.
• Control budgets, operating costs, working capital and the overall 3S P&L.
• Lead, mentor and develop the 3S teams, fostering a high‑performance, customer‑centric culture.
• Ensure compliance with OEM standards, company policies, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Provide regular performance reports, forecasts and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management or a related discipline; MBA or postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressive experience in heavy‑equipment, construction or mining equipment sectors.
• Proven track record managing Sales, Service and Spare Parts (3S) operations.
• Strong understanding of heavy‑equipment products, applications and after‑sales business models.
