Engineering Technician – Plumbing

About the role

You will install, repair, and maintain the plumbing systems at InterContinental Pokhara Resort, ensuring water, drainage, and heating operate flawlessly for guest comfort. The position supports both guest‑facing areas and back‑of‑house facilities such as kitchens and laundry.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including clearing clogged drains and replacing fixtures.
• Install, service, and replace municipal water distribution, sewer lines, tanks, water‑filtration and softening equipment.
• Perform maintenance, repair, and new installation of water‑based firefighting system components.
• Operate specialized tools such as pipe threaders, pipe grooving machines, pipe cutting machines, and cutting torches.
• Inspect joints, valves, pumps, boilers, heaters, sinks, commodes, and other components to locate malfunctions.
• Work with commercial‑type equipment in kitchen and laundry plumbing systems.

Required profile

• Some college or advanced vocational training in a related field.
• At least two years of experience in general building maintenance or construction, or an equivalent mix of education and experience.
• Hotel experience is preferred.
